Due to the success of our business, we are looking to recruit a Senior HR Manager. You will lead the HR team and deliver a proactive and flexible HR service across the organisation by providing relevant and appropriate HR support whilst driving best practice and ensuring compliance and consistency with all company procedures, documented policies, and employment legislation.
As our Senior HR Manager your key responsibilities will be:
- Manage, lead, and develop the HR team to ensure professionalism, efficiency, productivity and good managerial skills are always maintained.
- Oversee all HR administration and compliance activities, ensuring the accurate recording and updating of HR records.
- Implement the HR Strategy.
- Complete the monthly payroll review, ensuring HR submissions are accurate and in line with payment policies.
- Monitor and evaluate all aspects of HR via regular feedback at company, team, departmental and individual level. Make recommendations for improvement and action as appropriate in collaboration with the SLT.
- Maintain, update and effectively communicate all HR policies, processes and initiatives to ensure they are up to date with current employment legislation.
- Ensure business, management, and employee compliance with company HR policies.
- Lead all Employee Relations activity for the Company and equip the HR team and line managers to be able to deal with these issues. Manage any appeals processes or ACAS cases.
- Support the Recruitment Coordinator as needed to manage the recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a robust process is followed and all appointments meet the needs of the organisation.
- Lead on Internal Communications initiatives, supporting the Internal Communications Coordinator to ensure employees across the business are kept informed of company updates and engagement initiatives.
- Own the volunteering side of ‘toob in the community’, encouraging engagement in the scheme.
- Lead on the annual staff survey, supporting communications to ensure high completion rates. Analyse responses and feedback to senior management and department heads, creating action plans for improvements where needed.
- Lead the Employee Engagement Group, holding at least 6 monthly meetings, and gathering feedback and discussing recommendations with senior management as appropriate.
- Support any business change activities, ensuring any restructures are fully compliant and employees are supported.
What you’ll bring to toob:
- MCIPD qualification/experience as working in a Senior HR or HR Management role and managing a team.
- Strong people management skills, with experience of supporting and developing HR team members.
- Results-focused - understands what is important to employees and management - committed to achieving goals.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in contractual documents and payroll reports.
- Experience using and understanding different HR systems and able to build HR reports and interpret data.
- Tenacious approach to delivery, quality of output and organisation with the ability to work both strategically and operationally across the organisation.
- Effective communication skills - handles complex and difficult situations with thought, impartiality, and confidence.
- Understanding of Internal Communications initiatives.
- Ability to deliver appropriate information to the right people.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills in delivering company-wide HR projects and initiatives as required.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law issues and the ability to apply these to a variety of situations using a pragmatic and common-sense approach as well as the ability to explain legal requirements to managers and employees in a straightforward way.
- Experience of working in a small HR team, working with senior leaders and managers to create positive business outcomes.
- Up-to-date employment law knowledge and ability to update policies and processes in line with changes.
- Understanding of best practices and HR functions.
