We are a busy, family-run tile and bathroom showroom looking to recruit a full-time Retail Sales Assistant to join our friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers and has an interest in home improvement, interiors or design.

Working Hours

  • Full time – 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis:
  • Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:30pm
  • Saturday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Sunday: 10:30am – 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting customers in selecting tiles, bathroom suites and furniture
  • Providing advice on products and helping customers plan their projects
  • Calculating tile quantities and helping customers work out measurements
  • Processing sales and handling payments
  • Stock handling and replenishment
  • Maintaining showroom displays and cleanliness
  • Assisting with deliveries and lifting boxes (some heavy lifting required)

About You

  • Polite, friendly and professional
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Confident dealing with customers
  • Comfortable with basic maths (measuring and calculating quantities)
  • Flexible and willing to learn
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving stock
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential — full training will be provided.
