Tony’s Chocolonely is committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. We are an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes impact. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example, demonstrating that ethical practices and success can go hand in hand. Through Tony's Open Chain (TOC), mission allies like Ben & Jerry's, Waitrose, Aldi and Pip & Nut have embraced a fairer, more transparent supply chain for their chocolate too.

We are looking for a Junior Category Manager to join our team in Richmond, London. The #1 goal of this role is to turn a range of category data into killer insights and recommendations that support the growth of both the Tony's brand and the entire chocolate category. Because for us, more growth means more impact!

You will support in upskilling the entire business in category data and insight. You will take ownership of the regular reporting suite and support in managing our data sources and contracts, so that we can make the right decisions, whilst managing our budgets effectively. You will help drive the commercial agenda by presenting relevant insights and recommendations internally and externally, ensuring that we stay ahead of the curve. You will also be given an opportunity to manage your own external retail relationships.

If you are data-driven, keen to develop your career in category and are passionate about making serious impact in the world of cocoa, we are looking for you!

  • Turn data into impactful insights to identify category growth opportunities.
  • Your data analysis provides insight and recommendations that will help grow the Tony's brand; spotting gaps, distribution opportunities and any potential risks.
  • Manage the internal reporting process from start to finish.
  • You will source, format and deliver category data in regular comprehensive reports, enabling all in the business to stay on top of UK Category performance.
  • Monitor and communicate business performance.
  • You support in communicating category and Tony’s performance clearly, both internally and externally ensuring we’re always spotting opportunities and/or risks early on.
  • Build impactful relationships both internally and externally.
  • You foster solid connections with your fellow Tony's team members and build your own retailer relationships ensuring that Tony’s has a seat at the table.

Requirements:

  • Ideally 2+ years of experience within the FMCG industry in a data-driven category or insight role.
  • Experience in analysing market data and shaping into impactful insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across different levels with strong storytelling.
  • Hunger for growth, solves problems proactively and with high urgency.
  • Eagerness to work in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
  • We are all about being more in person than apart; this means we offer flexibility but see each other in the Richmond office on average 3 days a week. More is fine too!
  • You believe wholeheartedly in Tony’s purpose. You live our core values: outspoken, in it together, entrepreneurial, raise the bar and makes you smile.

Our Benefits:

At Tony's you will get the opportunity to be part of something extraordinary; first and foremost, by making a real impact in the world but also enjoying the nice benefits we provide as you help us succeed. We’re dedicated to enabling all Tonys to grow and develop their careers and therefore we offer training programs, regular feedback cycles and coaching. We also offer a wide range of additional benefits, including lunch at the office, a minimum of 28 days annual holiday, inspirational team updates, unforgettable quarterly events, and unlimited chocolate. But we also know chocolate won’t cover the bills, so we’ve made sure your salary is just as rewarding. For this role that means an annual salary between £39k and £42k.

Sounds like you? Are you passionate about making a difference in the world? Look no further! If you're ready to take the chocolate industry to new heights with us, we’d love to hear from you! Please send your direct application, no agencies. We can’t wait to hear from you!

At Tony's we are convinced that diversity of thought, background and perspectives will make us stronger. Our mission is founded on principles of equity and justice, and we are actively seeking candidates who bring new perspectives and life experiences, especially from underrepresented groups. We look forward to your application!
