Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for supporting businesses, driving regeneration, and delivering exceptional customer service? This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of business centres in Leeds, leading a dedicated team and shaping the future of enterprise support in the city.
We are looking for an experienced Business Centre Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day running of multiple business centres, ensuring they remain fully operational, financially sustainable, and vibrant hubs for local organisations. You will play a key role in supporting tenants, maximising occupancy, and developing initiatives that create meaningful social and economic impact.
- Lead & Inspire
Manage and motivate a multi‑skilled team, including a Handy Person, Enterprise Coordinator, and Business Advisor. Recruit, train, and develop staff to deliver high‑quality services and maintain a positive, proactive culture. - Drive Operational Excellence
Oversee the smooth running of all business centres, ensuring buildings are safe, well‑maintained, and welcoming. Ensure repairs, maintenance, access arrangements, and health & safety standards are consistently met. - Maximise Occupancy & Income
Achieve annual occupancy targets across all centres. Manage leases, licences, renewals, and rent reviews. Address arrears promptly and support formal debt recovery processes when required. - Champion Customer Experience
Build strong relationships with tenants and stakeholders. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and service quality. Develop KPIs and ensure compliance with regulatory and best‑practice standards. - Lead Marketing & Promotion
Deliver and further develop the marketing strategy to promote the centres and attract new tenants. Strengthen the organisation's profile and reputation across the region. - Financial & Strategic Management
Contribute to annual and multi‑year budgets and business planning. Monitor market trends to inform rent setting and competitiveness. Produce accurate financial and performance reports for senior leadership. - Support Local Regeneration
Identify and develop socioeconomic regeneration initiatives aligned with organisational priorities. Seek funding opportunities and manage rent subsidy schemes where appropriate.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience managing business centres, commercial property, enterprise hubs, or similar environments. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities. Confident in financial management, budgeting, and performance reporting. Knowledge of leases, licences, and commercial lettings (desirable but not essential). A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a commitment to high standards. Passion for supporting local businesses and contributing to community regeneration.
