Job Summary

The successful candidate will work on a variety of schemes within the Power & Energy and Highways sectors.

Power projects include onshore and offshore wind farms, grid connection infrastructure, and public road improvements that support renewable energy infrastructure development. The role involves engaging in technical design, multidisciplinary design management, and project management. It is ideal for candidates approaching chartered professional review or recently chartered with ICE or IHE.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least three years’ postgraduate experience
  • Knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB), council highway standards, and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCDHW)
  • Experience in highway/road drainage, alignment, and earthworks design
  • Ability to work in a team, managing junior team members
  • Experience designing SUDS according to UK SUDS Manual
  • Hydraulic modelling experience of surface water drainage networks
  • Experience collaborating with local councils or Trunk Road Operators for design acceptance
  • Proficiency in Civils 3D, CAD, and MicroDrainage software
  • Experience in design or project management
  • Knowledge of SEPA guidelines and CAR regulations
  • Approaching or recently achieved chartership with ICE or IHE

Qualifications:

  • BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or similar
