The Financial Controller will report to senior leadership and be responsible for leading and strengthening Tony Gee’s financial operations across the global business. The successful candidate will have a broad range of responsibility across all aspects of finance in a growing organisation and is an exciting opportunity to be part of positive change as the team continues to develop.
Responsibilities
- Influential partner in design, implementation and production of financial reporting, processes, and systems
- Control the preparation of the monthly management accounts and annual reports, including cashflow management in line with reporting timetable
- Ensure clean balance sheet reconciliations are maintained monthly
- Perform in-depth analysis of business performance (costs, revenue, and margin)
- Proactively contribute to the identification, development and implementation of system efficiency improvements
- Liaise with auditors to meet fieldwork requirements and timelines
- Delegating preparation of required supporting schedules to appropriate team members and managing completion on schedule
- Supervise and mentor members of the Finance Team
Qualifications
- 5 years proven experience in senior finance role(s)
- Excellent technical accounting skills
- Highly organised, demonstrating the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Innovative approach to continuous improvement in systems, reporting and analysis
- Ability to communicate to non-financial specialists
- Gravitas to influence at all levels of the business
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Desire to provide succession to Finance Director at the appropriate time
- Project based business experience
- System change experience
- Experience working in growing organisations
- Qualified Accountant - ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
