Role Summary

The Senior Manager - Internal Communications leads the delivery of internal communications across TBI, ensuring colleagues globally are informed, engaged and aligned to the Institute’s mission, strategy and Uniquely TBI values. While the role plays a critical part in shaping and delivering communications across this Institute on a day-to-day basis and during periods of organisational transformation and change. The postholder will help shape and evolve the Institute’s internal communications strategy, translating organisational priorities into clear, compelling and accessible messaging for a diverse, multi-national and cross-generational workforce.

This is a stand-alone role that works in close collaboration with the Chief People & Strategy Officer, senior leadership, People Business Partners, Strategy teams and the Global Strategic Communications function to ensure communications are consistent, timely, engaging and aligned with brand guidelines.

Internal Communications Delivery & Planning

  • Lead and deliver internal communications across the Institute, ensuring clarity, consistency and alignment with organisational priorities.
  • Help shape and evolve the Institute’s internal communications strategy in partnership with senior stakeholders.
  • Build and manage an annual internal communications calendar, aligning key organisational moments, People initiatives and leadership updates.
  • Proactively identify and drive communications on matters that impact employees, ensuring timely and transparent updates.

Storytelling & Engagement

  • Develop compelling and creative storytelling that brings TBI’s strategy, achievements and values to life internally.
  • Translate complex or sensitive topics into clear, pragmatic and engaging communications.
  • Ensure communications resonate across a multi-national, multi-cultural and cross-generational workforce.
  • Reinforce organisational culture and UniquelyTBI values through consistent messaging.

Change & Transformation Communications

  • Lead internal communications relating to organisational transformation, structural change and people initiatives.
  • Partner with People and Strategy teams to support workforce planning, mobility, wellbeing, policy updates and organisational design initiatives.
  • Develop clear and empathetic change narratives that build understanding and trust.

Collaboration & Brand Alignment

  • Work closely with the Brand team to ensure adherence to brand guidelines, tone of voice and visual identity.
  • Develop toolkits, templates and guidance to promote consistency across regions and functions.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across geographies while operating independently in a stand-alone role.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor engagement metrics and employee feedback to assess the effectiveness of communications.
  • Use insights and data to refine channels, messaging and delivery approaches.
  • Continuously improve internal communications practices to meet evolving organisational needs.
