We are looking to recruit a Fleet Service Mechanic to join our busy workshop based in Dalwood, near Axminster; assisting in the servicing and maintaining of a large fleet of mainly transit vans. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company offering a great culture and a genuine interest in developing staff.
If you have circa 5 years relevant experience and qualifications and are dedicated, hard-working and a good communicator then this may be the job for you!
Reporting to the Depot Operations Manager, the role is predominantly focussed on repairing and servicing the fleet of light commercial vehicles (currently circa 60 in the fleet), to keep our landscapers safely on the road. MOT prep and delivery is also part of the role, as is the maintenance and repair of the small fleet of trailers and tractors. Support in the repair and maintenance of 2 stroke horticultural is also an integral part of this role.
Must possess strong communication skills and be able to work alongside other mechanics. An appreciation for site Health and Safety is required and a tidy approach to the workplace is essential.
The role could be full or part time, however if part time then Monday working would be required. Basic hours are 08:00 to 17:00.
