Part Time Financial Controller

Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for a Part Time Financial Controller to join an award-winning, growing SME business in the Hove area on a part time, permanent basis.
The are seeking a part-time Financial Controller to take ownership of the business’s finances, providing strategic insight and financial leadership to support the businesses sustainable growth.
Your duties will include:
- The Financial Controller will oversee the financial management of the business
- You will work closely with the founders to support strategic decision-making and sustainable growth
- Provide monthly management accounts
- Cash-flow forecasting
- Produce profit and loss reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with the production of annual statutory accounts
- Maintain the general ledger
- Monthly budgeting and financial analysis
- Project profitability review
- Liaising with the external accountant to ensure effective financial control and insight across the business
Key requirements:
- You must have proven experience of working in a similar role
- Ideally you will have a strong understanding of SME financial operations, including forecasting, cost control, and scenario planning
- Commercially aware and able to balance creative business ambitions with financial discipline
