We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Hydraulic Modeller with 3 to 10 years of relevant experience to join us and be part of a successful and growing Water Engineering team. What you'll bring:
- BE or BSc Qualification
- 3 to 10 years' relevant experience
- Experience with TUFLOW and/or Infoworks ICM, and QGIS
- An understanding of stormwater catchment planning
- Strong interpersonal skills including ability to collaborate with clients to develop engineering solutions to flooding issues; including using sound judgement and experience
- Experience preparing project proposals
- Self‑motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An eye for detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Suites and artificial intelligence tools
What you'll do:
- Undertake analysis and design for various projects
- Develop computational hydraulic models (1D and 2D) for fluvial and urban engineering applications
- Undertake Flood Hazard Mapping and prepare Flood Risk Assessments to identify and understand catchment flooding issues
- Conduct hydrological analysis and data analysis
- Drive high‑quality engineering design and flood modelling analysis outputs
- Comply with Tonkin + Taylor Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Policies requirements
