We are seeking an experienced Receptionist to support a highly professional and well-established Ipswich accounting firm over the tax season. Joining a small team of administration staff, you will be the first point of contact for clients and will provide administrative support to a team of four accounting professionals.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Greeting visitors and responding to telephone enquiries via SMS/email, directing calls and taking messages
  • Diary management and scheduling of appointments
  • Open and closing of office
  • Preparing pre-appointment forms / correspondence and proofreading documents
  • Electronic records management (including indexing documents into document retrieval system)
  • Tracking client records and liaising with clients regarding information
  • Providing general administrative support including filing and managing stationery

To be considered, you should demonstrate a passion for providing exceptional levels of customer service, together with:

  • Previous experience in an aligned role (administration experience within a professional environment such as an accounting or legal firm preferred but not essential)
  • Well-developed communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work with a sense of urgency in a high volume, deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong time management and organisational skills to manage competing priorities
  • Availability to be rostered between 8:00am to 6:00pm (with possible Saturday mornings)
  • Confidence and competence learning and using a range of technology and computer systems (experience with Xero is advantageous)

Initially, support is required up to the end of September however there may be opportunities for this to be extended.
