You as part of tonies: We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager – Devices to own and evolve the Toniebox vision. This is an individual contributor position focused on product ideation, driving decisions, keeping diverse stakeholders accountable, and ensuring product requirements are clear, testable, and commercially viable.
You’ll work at the crossroads of hardware, software, and go-to-market, partnering with engineering, design, sales, and global manufacturing partners to deliver products that delight families worldwide. Success means blending technical feasibility with market needs, balancing innovation with business impact, and bringing clarity to complexity. This role is ideal for someone with consumer electronics product management experience in an international setting, who thrives on cross-functional collaboration and wants to shape one of the world’s most beloved children’s products.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Own and evolve the device vision for tonieboxes - from customer insight to commercial proposition - ensuring a strong rationale behind each product iteration.
- Drive early-stage exploration, ideation, and validation of new device concepts - balancing innovation with feasibility and commercial viability.
- Define and lead the product roadmap for toniebox devices, aligned with tonies’ strategic goals and user experience ambitions.
- Collaborate across disciplines with hardware, software, design, content, and operations teams - from concept through launch.
- Manage relationships with ODM partners throughout the development lifecycle - from requirements to production - ensuring design intent and quality are met.
- Translate product vision into actionable go-to-market plans, partnering with sales and marketing to craft compelling product narratives and ensure readiness.
- Champion the product internally, delivering clear, structured communication across all teams and levels.
- Take initiative and operate independently, especially in early-stage phases when team structure is still forming - building momentum and organizational alignment.
- Navigate technical and commercial decision-making, balancing trade-offs and aligning diverse stakeholders.
- Simplify complexity, bringing clarity to ambiguity and enabling others to understand the broader product context.
What we are looking for:
- 10+ years of experience in product management for consumer hardware, including ODM-led device development and manufacturing (essential).
- Strong understanding of software-defined devices and the interplay between hardware and software in delivering user value.
- Proven ability to craft and communicate product vision, blending user needs, brand direction, and business strategy.
- Solid grasp of hardware commercial levers - including pricing, margin optimization, and feature prioritization.
- Experience working with cross-functional and global teams, spanning sales, marketing, operations, and engineering.
- Familiar with lean product management terms and methodologies such as Cost of Delay and familiarity with integrated product teams and product operating models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for building clear, structured product narratives.
- Comfortable with early-stage ambiguity and scaling structure over time; organized, proactive, and resourceful.
- Collaborative, low-ego team player who thrives on building strong relationships across all levels.
- Fluent in English; other languages (e.g. German or Mandarin) are a plus due to our global footprint.
- Willingness to work across time zones within a global organization.
- Candidates must be currently located in the UK (London), Germany (Düsseldorf / Berlin) or France (Paris).
