Your mission is to own and evolve the global digital commerce platforms to enable scalable, performant, and business-aligned commerce experiences. You will act as the strategic anchor for the shopping experience, ensuring our platform investments align with global business priorities while balancing operational efficiency with scalability. Success is measured by delivering commercial growth, improving conversion rates, and optimizing platform efficiency, experimentation velocity, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Lead the Vision: Define and drive the strategy and roadmap for our global e-commerce platforms, ensuring a unified shopping experience across all markets.
- Architecture Governance: Partner closely with Engineering to govern architecture decisions during and post-migration, ensuring a robust foundation for 2026+.
- Vendor Management: Own strategic relationships and manage software vendors and tools used across the platform (e.g., payment processing, CMS) to maximize value and performance.
- Business Alignment: Align platform investments with global and local business priorities, driving cross-functional coordination with Engineering, Operations, and Commercial teams.
- Drive Execution: Own the execution of key initiatives within a cross-functional team, continuously prioritising opportunities to maintain a competitive roadmap.
- Global Consistency: Ensure 100% parity of core shopping flows (product pages, checkout) across major regions and drive cross-market consistency.
- Continuous Discovery: Drive continuous discovery for future evolutions, validating new concepts with a "customer-centric" approach.
- Mentorship: Act as a senior mentor to Product Managers (e.g., Checkout, Landing & Merch), fostering a culture of product excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
What we are looking for:
- Visionary & Experienced: You have at least 7+ years of product management experience in e-commerce, with a track record of leading complex platform strategies.
- Technical Fluency: You are fluent in e-commerce and marketing technology (Shopify, Commercetools, etc.) and can confidently own the technology stack.
- Strategic & Operational: You can balance rapid growth across markets with improving the existing 'glocal' experience.
- Data-Driven: You love data and use it to evangelise quality insights, defining success metrics that drive fast build-and-learn cycles.
- Leadership Potential: You are a clear communicator with high empathy. You are ready to step up as a mentor today and have the ambition to lead teams tomorrow.
Why tonies?
- Global Teamwork: We collaborate across departmental and country borders on our vision to bring the Toniebox into every child's room in the world.
- Come as you are: This applies not only to the dress code but also to everything else. Because only where you truly feel comfortable can you give your best.
- Mobility: Choose the option that suits you best - a Deutschlandticket (public transport ticket) for unlimited mobility, a monthly contribution for an office parking space, a leasing bicycle, or a remote work subsidy.
- Enhanced Security: Benefit from subsidies for company pension plans, occupational pension schemes, and occupational disability insurance.
- Rest & Time Off: Enjoy 30 days of paid annual leave as well as three additional days off such as Rosenmontag, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve. After one year of employment, you can also use up to 10 "toniecation days" (unpaid leave days).
- Continuous Learning: Benefit from our internal and external training opportunities as well as an individual learning budget to continuously expand your knowledge.
- Language Learning & Relaxation: Improve your communication skills with the language learning app Babbel and find relaxation through our access to the meditation app Calm.
- Discounts: Benefit from attractive discounts on our entire range of tonies products.
