Tonic are currently searching for a Beer Sommelier for a city centre craft beer bar. This is a role which will involve managing a cellar, training staff on beers, assisting guests in their beer choices and creating exciting beer tastings, pairings and events which you will then present to attendees.
This company have extensive links around the hospitality and beer industry in Birmingham and further afield and this role will give you the opportunity to grow your own network, taste exciting products, manage your own beer selection with good autonomy and learn even more about beer. This company will be able to offer opportunities for creativity within the role of Beer Sommelier and opportunities to learn and progress within a diverse business group.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have a passion for Beer of all kinds and find it easy to get that excitement across to guests and colleagues alike
- Have an extensive knowledge of beer styles, breweries, production methods and flavour profiles
- Have a strong working knowledge of all aspects of managing a beer cellar including cask, keg and packaged products
- Are able to show a working history which is stable and involves working with similar businesses
