Tonic are pleased to partner with our client to recruit a Group Executive Chef for their independent group in the Cotswolds. The owners came up through high-quality hospitality operations, and they have built a solid portfolio of produce-led pubs and restaurants. You will drive quality and consistency, develop the people in every brigade, own supplier relationships and lead kitchen recruitment. With more sites in the pipeline, you will also be hands-on with new opening set-up and support each pre-opening team through launch. What are we looking for from Group Executive Chef candidates? Head Chef or Executive Chef experience in quality-led pubs, restaurants or hotels, with a fine dining or rosette-level background
Experience running more than one kitchen, or a strong single-site Head Chef ready to step up to group level
Hands-on and present on the pass, while thinking strategically about the group as a whole
A genuine people developer who can grow chefs into future head chefs for the new sites
Seasonal, produce-led cooking style with real confidence building and managing local supplier relationships
Opening or pre-opening experience, including setting up systems, procedures and new teams
Financially literate, owning GP, food cost and labour across multiple sites
Full driving licence and own transport, with regular travel between sites
