A well-respected local charity providing care and support to people with learning disabilities is looking for an experienced PBS Practitioner to join the team and add support to cover sickness for an initial period of 6 weeks.

We are looking for an experienced, talented and passionate individual to take up the role of Positive Behavioural Practitioner. Positive behaviour support (PBS) is a person-centred framework for providing long-term support to people with a learning disability, and/or autism, including those with mental health conditions, who have, or may be at risk of developing, behaviours that challenge.

The organisation provides PBS to both the people they support and also provides training to external providers. This is an exciting opportunity which could lead to a longer assignment providing project-based training externally.

As part of the PBS Delivery Training Team, you will play a key role in ensuring your teams understand and adopt the values of PBS and its function within the organisation by providing behavioural assessment and functional analyses advice and guidance to families, clinical support staff, and other professionals.

A degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Psychiatry, Nursing or similar is desirable for this post. Additional qualifications in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), Autism & Trauma would be advantageous.

All enquiries are free and confidential.
