3-month contract IMMEDIATE START REQUIRED. Ideal base location Bristol/Midlands area. Home based with travel to all sites and possible overnight stays. DBS must be on the update system.

This is a business-as-usual interim role to cover sickness. You will oversee the day-to-day running and management of operations of various day services throughout England. These day services provide activities and opportunities for adults with learning disabilities to help them set and achieve personal goals, find hobbies they enjoy, and take control of their lives.

The day services include activities like gardening, arts and crafts, cooking, exercise classes, and also community outings like swimming, shopping, or theatre trips.

You will have experience of working with adults with complex needs including learning disabilities and autism, and either professional experience of, or a very keen interest and knowledge of horticulture, gardening or landscaping.

As a compassionate people manager, your main aims and responsibilities will be to motivate and support the teams by providing clear vision and direction. This includes carrying out staff supervisions, auditing, monitoring risk assessments, and ensuring that record keeping is up to date.

You will provide encouragement to the managers and their teams and ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide the best possible levels of person-centred care to the adults they support.

This role would suit someone with a background in social care, managing services for adults with learning disabilities, or perhaps running a business or social enterprise offering day services or community activities.
