Salon Apprentice – Toni & Guy
Become a Salon Apprentice and gain first‑hand experience working in a Superbrand salon. Full training will be provided leading to an accredited Hair Professional qualification delivered in the salon.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to legal and organisational requirements for safe use of products, tools, materials and equipment.
- Apply safe, hygienic and effective methods of working and infection control while completing hairdressing services.
- Communicate with clients and colleagues using professional etiquette that meets industry standards.
- Maintain client confidentiality and ensure comfort and privacy throughout the service.
- Advise clients on maintenance of the look, complementary services and retail products.
- Promote the Salon and its services across social channels.
- Support wider salon duties such as bookings, payments, retail, upselling and sales.
- Carry out hair consultation, examination, analysis and industry tests (e.g. hair classification, contraindication checks).
- Perform shampooing, conditioning, cutting, restyling and colouring services using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Evaluate the results of services and maintain accurate client records.
- Work as part of a team and adopt environmental and sustainable working practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals (or training provided).
- GCSE in English and Maths, grade 4 or above.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, organisational and customer‑care skills.
- Teamworking, creativity, initiative and patience.
- Functional Skills training in English and maths may be required.
- Previous hairdressing experience and industry qualifications are an advantage.
