Summary We are looking for an experienced Class 1 HGV driver with a valid driving licence. Based out of our Yard in Outwood near Redhill, this role will report into our Transport Manager. Responsibilities Ensuring safe delivery of equipment and items to sites/clients (undamaged). Delivery and collection of equipment to and from sites/clients. Loading and unloading of equipment, this will involve some lifting and carrying. Interacting with clients in a friendly and professional manner. Keep management and clients updated about any issues affecting delivery/collection of equipment (e.g. traffic delays, weather etc.). Check vehicle regularly and report any maintenance issues or damage at the earliest opportunity. Keep vehicle clean at all times. To ensure the security of all Tone property, for which the job holder is responsible. To take on any other reasonable responsibilities or tasks within the employee's skills and abilities, as requested. To adhere to all company policies and procedures, in particular the Health, Safety and Environmental. To attend all required training courses, tool-box talks and ensure complete all relevant risk assessments as required for the role. Qualifications Valid UK driving license with appropriate category for Class 1 vehicles Relevant on the road/client experience Digital Tachograph Strong understanding of road safety regulations Valid and current CPC qualification HIAB Licence / Lorry Loader training qualification preferred although not essential Schedule 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Daily start times 05.30AM - this may vary so flexibility with working hours is requested to support client and business needs Weekend work available Additional Bonus scheme Additional leave Company pension Free parking Life insurance On-site parking Applicants should have good communication skills, a positive outlook and a can-do work ethic.
