We are seeking an experienced Specialist Cardiac Nurse to join our team one day per week. This role offers the opportunity to provide expert cardiac care, support patients with complex cardiac conditions, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

We are excited to introduce a new Specialist Cardiac Nurse role to join the Tonbridge Medical Group Team to enhance the care and support we provide to our patients with cardiac needs.

We are a dedicated and passionate team working in a state-of-the-art facility in the centre of Tonbridge, serving a patient list of 18,106. At TMG, we prioritise forward-thinking healthcare and strive to provide the highest level of care to our patient community.
As a training practice, our team includes 7 GP partners, 7 salaried GPs, GP registrars, a physician assistant, PCN clinical pharmacists, 4 nurses, 4 healthcare assistants, a phlebotomist, and an exceptional admin and care navigation team. We have robust systems in place to ensure workloads are well managed.
Job responsibilities:
- Provide specialist nursing care for patients with cardiac conditions, including assessment, monitoring, and management.
- Prescribe medications independently within your scope of practice.
- Perform and interpret ECGs and other cardiac assessments.
- Deliver patient education and support for self-management of cardiac conditions.
- Collaborate closely with GPs, pharmacists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to service development and clinical governance.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach.

- Enthusiastic about professional development and teaching.

- Experience working with EMIS and Docman systems is desirable.
Qualifications:
- MSc in Cardiology.
- Diploma in Professional Practice with ENB 124 Certificate in Coronary Care Nursing.
- Advanced cardiac assessment, monitoring, and patient management skills.
- Experience in prescribing independently within scope of practice.
- Competent in ECGs, coronary care procedures, and cardiac interventions.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
- Postgraduate diploma or modules in heart failure, arrhythmia management, or interventional cardiology.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) / Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Specialist Cardiology or Coronary Care Nursing accreditation.
- Certification in echocardiography, cardiac imaging, or catheter lab procedures.
- Experience in leading or mentoring cardiac clinics or programs.
- Participation in research, audits, or quality improvement in cardiac care.
- Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD) in cardiology.
Experience:
- Experience of working within a nursing team.
- Substantial clinical experience within cardiac services, demonstrating expertise in patient care and cardiac management.
- Experience in primary care, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, is desirable.
- Experience of working in a GP Practice.
