Make a real difference in the services residents rely on every day. We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Business Support Manager to help keep key frontline services running smoothly. This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll supervise a small support team and play a central part in managing resident enquiries, coordinating administrative processes, and supporting key services such as waste collection and garden waste subscriptions. If you enjoy problem-solving, working at pace, and making things happen behind the scenes, this could be a great next step.
About the role
This is a practical role with a strong focus on coordination and delivery. Working within Street Scene, Leisure & Technical Services, you will:
- Supervise a small team of administrative staff, ensuring work is organised and completed efficiently
- Act as a key link between Customer Services and operational teams, helping to resolve resident enquiries and complaints
- Support the day-to-day running of waste and street scene services, including inbox management and case tracking
- Coordinate the Garden Waste subscription service, including renewals and new sign-ups to support income targets (c.£2m per year)
- Maintain and update service systems and data, producing reports where needed (full training provided)
- Support financial and administrative processes, including purchase orders, invoices, and service monitoring
- Assist with wider service tasks, such as fees and charges updates and data analysis
About You

- Experience of supervising or coordinating the work of others
- Ability to manage different priorities and tight deadlines

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
