The junior designer plays a crucial role in the brand and would work closely with the production team and founder. The successful candidate will join a fast-paced, growing company and will be a vital member of the team. We are looking for someone who is creative, passionate about the end-to-end design process, organised and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Develop seasonal design concepts in line with our brand values and market trends.
- Lead ideation and execution of new fabrics, colourways, patterns and garment silhouettes.
- Responsible for the full design lifecycle from concept to sample to final product.
- Create detailed technical packs for suppliers, including fabric specs, measurements and construction details.
- Work with our suppliers to develop samples and refine fit and materials.
- Collaborate with buying and logistics to ensure production timelines are met.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create design assets, including campaign layouts.
- Contribute to the development of our overall brand guidelines and visual language.
- Contribute to any launch campaign and the journey of new product development for social media in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Monitor trends in fashion, sustainability and culture to keep our offering relevant and exciting.
- Benchmark design practices and product innovation in the loungewear and fashion industry.
Essential Criteria Required
- 2+ years of experience in fashion or textile design.
- Proven track record of designing garments from concept through to production.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, 3D Cloth).
- Strong understanding of fabrics, construction and garment tech.
- Attention to detail & quality.
- Team work, flexible and willing to take on tasks as needed.
- Ability to sew.
