Job Description
Location: Remote, preferably based in the Central UK territory
Travel: 50–70% (domestic, with occasional international travel)
As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing business opportunities and building strong relationships with customers in the recycling and waste management sectors across the UK. You will manage complex sales processes, provide technical consultation, and represent TOMRA as a trusted partner who helps customers improve performance and sustainability.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets in the UK region.
- Identify and engage potential customers within the recycling and waste management sectors.
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, needs analysis, solution presentation, negotiation, and closing.
- Drive the RFQ/RFP process, including proposal preparation, responding to technical inquiries, and confirming orders.
- Provide technical consultation and product demonstrations to customers.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (CPM, service, and others) to ensure strong customer outcomes.
- Support and expand our network of agents and distributors.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine strategy.
- Represent TOMRA at industry events, trade shows, and conferences across the UK.
