TOMRA was founded in 1972, based on the design, manufacturing and sale of reverse vending machines (RVMs) for automated collection of used beverage containers. Today TOMRA provides solutions that enable the circular economy with advanced collection and sorting systems, and food processing by employing sensor-based sorting and grading technology. At TOMRA, we value and encourage innovation, passion and responsibility in everything we do. TOMRA Group employs 5,000 people globally and is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange (OSE: TOM). TOMRA was named Norway’s Most Innovative Business in 2023 & 2025.

TOMRA Collection is a leading innovator in the circular economy and Clean Loop Recycling. Founded on the invention of the world's first reverse vending machine, we are now responsible for approximately 91,000 installations across more than 60 markets. By providing an effective and efficient way of collecting, sorting and processing containers, TOMRA's reverse vending systems make it easy for consumers to recycle and contribute to a more sustainable planet. This is a unique opportunity to join the UK organisation as we scale and help support the next generation of recycling infrastructure.

TOMRA is scaling in the UK to support the rollout of the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) in October 2027—a transformative national initiative to improve recycling and reduce waste. As part of this growth, we are building our operational capabilities to deliver large-scale deployment of our reverse vending technology across the country. As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in turning this strategy into reality, leading the delivery of physical projects and ensuring these are executed efficiently, safely, and at scale.

As a Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of physical projects, supporting the large-scale rollout of Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) across the UK. This is a hands-on, operations-focused role where planning meets real-world execution. You’ll work closely with internal teams, customers, and partners to ensure installations are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading the rollout of RVM installations across multiple UK locations
  • Managing project plans, timelines, resources, and dependencies
  • Acting as the primary operational point of contact for customers and stakeholders
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams (logistics, service, operations) to deliver projects
  • Driving day-to-day execution, proactively managing risks and resolving issues
  • Overseeing project reporting, documentation, and progress tracking
  • Ensuring delivery aligns with KPIs, SLAs, and health & safety standards

Why this role stands out:

  • Manage real, physical project delivery with visible outcomes
  • Collaborate with experienced operations, service, and delivery teams
  • Build your leadership capability in project and stakeholder management
  • Contribute to a company with a strong sustainability purpose

Qualifications:

We’re looking for a collaborative Project Manager who enjoys bringing projects to life in a hands-on, operational environment. You don’t need to meet every requirement—if this role excites you, we encourage you to apply. You likely bring:

  • 3+ years’ experience managing projects, ideally involving physical projects which could include installations, infrastructure, or operational delivery
  • Proven experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Planning and organisational skills, with the ability to deliver work in a structured and thoughtful way
  • Comfortable balancing priorities, with a flexible approach to navigating a dynamic environment
  • Takes ownership of tasks and enjoys seeing projects through to completion
  • Builds positive relationships and communicates clearly with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience with Microsoft 365; exposure to tools such as Jira or ERP systems is beneficial
