About the Role

As a Tutor at Tomorrow University, you play a critical role in delivering high-quality, human-centered assessment and learner support in our challenge-based online programs. You’ll collaborate closely with Learning Designers and Program Directors to ensure that learners receive timely, meaningful feedback and a smooth academic experience. This is a part‑time, fixed‑hours freelance role (25 hours/week) with clearly defined focus areas and outcomes.

Main Tasks

  • Grading & Assessment
    Consistently grade learner submissions and resubmissions using detailed rubrics and guidance.
    Provide clear, constructive, and actionable feedback that supports growth and mastery.
    Flag unclear submissions, integrity concerns, or systemic rubric issues for review and escalation.
  • Learner Support
    Host weekly office hours to answer questions and offer academic support.
    Respond asynchronously to learner inquiries via Slack, discussion forums, or in‑app tools within agreed SLAs.
    Clarify expectations around assignments, assessment criteria, and deadlines to reduce confusion.
    Monitor engagement signals; proactively flag at‑risk learners to the academic team for follow‑up.
  • Challenge Maintenance Support
    Collaborate with Learning Designers to review, maintain, and update challenge content.
    Identify points of confusion, outdated elements, or rubric misalignments based on grading insights.
    Contribute feedback that improves clarity, alignment, and instructional quality.
  • Team Collaboration
    Attend alignment meetings with Program Directors and academic stakeholders.
    Contribute to continuous improvement discussions and feedback loops.
    Help ensure a consistent learner experience across programs and challenges.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or assessing at undergraduate and/or master’s level, or strong professional experience with coaching/feedback in relevant domains.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide specific, actionable written feedback against a rubric.
  • Comfortable supporting students in a fully remote, international environment.
  • Strong command of English (written and spoken). Additional languages are a plus.
  • Confident using digital tools (e.g., Slack, LMS, Google Workspace, Notion, Zoom) and learning new systems.
  • Reliable time management; able to work to grading SLAs and fixed weekly hours.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows for drafting feedback or analyzing rubric alignment (with human oversight).
  • Experience with challenge-based learning, competency-based assessment, or portfolio evaluation.
  • Prior involvement in curriculum or assessment design.
  • Background or interest in Tomorrow University focus areas (e.g., sustainability, entrepreneurship, tech & innovation, leadership).
