We're looking for a Design Director to lead retail design and brand experience work at an ambitious, independent creative agency in Shoreditch. You'll shape premium environments, global retail toolkits, launches and immersive activations for influential brands across sport, fashion, luxury and technology. This is an opportunity to bring bold ideas to life and raise the creative standard across a talented design team.
As Design Director, you'll own the creative vision from the first idea through to the final physical experience. You'll build the narrative behind each project, shape the customer or guest journey and ensure every touchpoint feels purposeful and beautifully resolved. You'll lead and mentor senior designers and 3D specialists, setting clear standards across spatial planning, visualisation and production. You'll also lead pitches, present directly to clients and work closely with production teams to create work that is ambitious, buildable and commercially considered.
You're an established design leader with a portfolio of built retail environments and live brand experiences. You combine big-picture thinking with a sharp eye for materials, lighting, composition and finish. You're confident directing SketchUp, V-Ray, Cinema 4D or Unreal Engine workflows and highly skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and Keynote. You know how to inspire senior creatives, communicate a clear vision and turn brand strategy into memorable physical experiences.
What's In It for You:
- £70,000 to £80,000 salary
- Hybrid working, with at least two Shoreditch studio days
- 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays
- Private healthcare and life assurance
- Wellbeing and travel benefits
- Creative ownership and international project exposure
- A collaborative, dog-friendly studio
