Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient running of the shop floor to achieve highest levels of customer service, sales, and profit.
- Support the management team in overseeing all personnel, product, merchandising, business processes, and store results.
- Participate in weekly management meetings and other staff meetings.
- Clearly communicate all marketing and sales promotions to staff.
- Drive shop floor sales and exceed store targets by motivating the team, while offering customers an exemplary store journey.
- Consistently foster a positive store experience by treating all customers and colleagues fairly and consistently.
- Support the team in delivering the business strategy, ensuring everyone has consistent training on product knowledge and store maintenance.
- Achieve company standards and goals for personal sales results: sales versus budgets, sales per hour, and units per transaction.
- Perform manager-on-duty functions, manage store opening/closing procedures, and oversee the sales floor.
- Focus staff on the importance of building quality relationships with internal and external customers.
- Ensure staff accountability for building a repeat customer base by providing unparalleled service.
- Ensure “door-to-floor” best practices with visual merchandising directives for sales floor and back room are executed; review consistently.
- Work with the management team to build a talent pool for key positions, including potential successors.
Qualifications
- Previous track record of supervisory or specialist roles within a premium or luxury brand.
- People-management experience with the ability to resolve conflict and unproductive disagreements.
- Effective communicator who can build relationships with ease.
