About the Role

Our stores are the main touchpoint with our customers. The Assistant Store Manager leads the team to deliver a first‑class experience, ensuring stores are visually distinctive, maintained to high standards and commercial objectives are met. They inspire the team, drive sales and profit, and build a brand‑loving customer base.

Responsibilities

  • Lead store teams to generate sales, profit, minimize losses, and create the best possible customer experience whilst ensuring the store is visually distinctive and impeccably maintained.
  • Identify opportunities to grow the business and improve performance through collaboration.
  • Maintain corporate visual merchandising directives and standards for sales floor and back room.
  • Work alongside visual merchandising to ensure clear communication between VM and store teams.
  • Partner with store management to build on business opportunities and achieve company standards and objectives.
  • Focus staff on building quality relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring accountability and repeat business.
  • Complete daily/weekly store walkthroughs; evaluate product performance, pricing, staff service levels and inventory levels.
  • Communicate to the Store Manager what is driving sales, discuss any issues/priorities, and develop strategies to maximize business, including weekly visual presentation action plans.
  • Analyze store‑level reports and create action plans to improve results.
  • Assist with manpower planning, recruitment, interviewing and hiring processes; recruit store personnel with diverse backgrounds.
  • Work with the Store Manager to build bench strength for key positions, including potential successors.
  • Participate in weekly management meetings and other staff meetings.
  • Clearly communicate store and individual sales goals and performance expectations; provide guidance to improve performance.
  • Provide a great customer journey and achieve exemplary mystery shop results.

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or specialist experience within a premium or luxury brand.
  • People‑management experience with a strong ability to resolve conflict and unproductive disagreements.
  • Effective communicator who cultivates belonging.
  • Collaborative, recognizes and celebrates contributions and achievements of others.
  • Gives constructive feedback that promotes positive behavioural change.
  • Adapts quickly and works with pace.
  • Energetic, trustworthy, and shows a clear presence on the shop floor.
  • Approaches all issues with a ‘can‑do’ attitude and makes informed decisions to find in‑store solutions.
