Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioners to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your skills within a caring setting, ensuring each child's individual needs are met with professionalism and compassion.

Duties

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental stages of children in accordance with early childhood education standards.
  • Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, always ensuring their safety.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines.
  • Organise and oversee daily routines, including arrival and departure procedures.
  • Support colleagues in managing behavioural issues using appropriate strategies.
  • Contribute to the organisation of nursery events and activities that promote socialisation and learning.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to childcare documentation as required.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery environment.

Experience

  • Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and childcare best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with organising activities that promote learning through play.
