Help Shape the Future of tombola. At tombola, our design system platform team plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between design and engineering. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our products present a cohesive visual language and deliver consistent user experiences. You’ll own the architecture, development, and evolution of the design system, empowering teams across the organization to build interfaces rapidly and reliably. Your work will streamline collaboration, drive best practices, and foster a culture of scalability and quality. You’ll be joining a close knit, friendly and genuinely supportive team who care deeply about what they do and how they do it. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working closely with others, is curious by nature, and has the drive to learn, grow and evolve alongside the platform. What you’ll be working on:

  • Designing and building reusable UI components and patterns for our product ecosystem.
  • Creating thorough documentation and onboarding material to help teams adopt the design system.
  • Working with designers to translate visual concepts into accessible, production-ready components.
  • Reviewing and refactoring existing UI for consistency, accessibility, and performance improvements.
  • Maintaining and updating shared resources, including component libraries, style guides, and tooling.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to product teams during integration and implementation.
  • Championing accessibility and design best practices throughout the development process.
  • Helping maintain and iterate on our content management system.

The tech you’ll get hands-on with:

  • Modern frontend tooling and languages such as Vite, Typescript, and Lit (Experimental).
  • Storybook for documenting components and showcasing UI.
  • Styling solutions such as PostCSS and SASS.
  • Docker, Terraform, TeamCity, GitHub for managing infrastructure and CI/CD.
  • C# / .Net (Framework & Core), contributing to our platform websites and Umbraco CMS System.

What we’re looking for:

  • Expertise in front-end development and component-driven architecture.
  • Deep understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA).
  • Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail in documenting, testing, and maintaining UI components.
  • Ability to research, adopt, and advocate best practices in design systems and front-end engineering.
  • Some experience and willingness to learn C# and .NET.
