Deputy Manager, SENCO and Curriculum Lead – Southfields, London Salary: £36,000–£40,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications Contract: Full-time, permanent Location: Southfields, Wimbledon, London SW19 We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and caring Deputy Manager, SENCO and Curriculum Lead to join our growing nursery in Southfields. Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you will help lead the nursery team, coordinate support for children with special educational needs and disabilities, and oversee the delivery of an ambitious and inclusive curriculum. Your responsibilities * Support the Nursery Manager with daily operations and take responsibility for the nursery in their absence * Lead, motivate and develop the team while supporting staffing, supervision and professional development * Coordinate inclusive support for children with SEND, working closely with families, practitioners and external professionals * Lead the development and consistent delivery of an engaging, inclusive curriculum aligned with the EYFS * Monitor teaching quality and children’s progress, helping staff identify needs and implement effective support * Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, record-keeping and regulatory compliance * Support continuous improvement and preparation for Ofsted inspections About you * A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above * Previous leadership experience within an early years setting * Experience supporting children with SEND and working in partnership with families * Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, Ofsted requirements and the SEND Code of Practice * A confident, organised and supportive leader with excellent communication skills * An Early Years SENCO qualification, Paediatric First Aid and Designated Safeguarding Lead training are desirable What we offer * A competitive salary of £36,000–£40,000 per year * Up to £800 toward training and professional development * Flexible working opportunities, depending on the role’s requirements * Complimentary breakfast and lunch while at work * Your birthday off * Additional annual leave for every completed year of service * A supportive workplace with opportunities for career progression If you are a passionate early years leader committed to inclusion, high-quality teaching and positive outcomes for every child, we would love to hear from you.
