We’re looking for a data-driven, insight-led Category Analyst to join our Marketing team and help shape the future of our category strategy. Reporting to the Head of Marketing – Strategic Partners, this role is ideal for someone who thrives on turning data into compelling stories that drive commercial success.
About the Role
As a Category Analyst, you’ll be the voice of the shopper, transforming complex data into actionable insights that support category growth, innovation, and strategic decision-making. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting range reviews, category development, and new product initiatives across key accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse internal sales and market data to uncover trends and opportunities
- Deliver monthly insights on pricing, promotions, shopper behaviour, and range performance
- Create impactful presentations for internal stakeholders, retailers, and suppliers
- Support category development strategies and range reviews
- Conduct competitor analysis through market visits and desk research
- Identify commercial opportunities from food trends and market insights
- Support NPD by providing data-driven recommendations and trend analysis
- Prepare clear reports and status updates within agreed timelines
- Monitor and evaluate in-store and online trade marketing execution
What We’re Looking For
- Strong understanding of category marketing principles
- Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong presentation and communication abilities
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
- Proactive and able to work independently under pressure
- Excellent relationship-building skills across internal and external stakeholders
- High level of integrity and professionalism
Background & Experience
- Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Marketing, Business, Analytics)
- Experience in category analysis or similar role (preferred)
- Experience in Retail
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Power BI
