Our customer is looking for a 4 On 4 off Night Team Leader to join their team. The applicant will be expected to effectively support the Transport Manager while managing the transport movements, including factory clearance, ensuring all orders are planned as required while maintaining excellent levels of customer service and within agreed budgets.
- Key Tasks
- Manage the daily plan via operators using relevant software and update as required ensuring accurate resources are allocated.
- Work with warehouse to coordinate loads managed in line with the plan.
- Manage Operators to ensure any delays are communicated to stakeholders.
- Audit driver packs and ensure drivers are fully briefed at point of departure.
- Monitor loads as a live event and manage delays to ensure customer delivery.
- Monitor transportation schedules in advance, proactively addressing potential issues to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage front desk administration as well as keeping accurate and consistent records.
- Manage the POD and report any issues to the line manager.
- Interact with customers as needed, addressing inquiries, providing assistance, and maintaining positive relationships to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Produce daily shift report and deliver comprehensive and accurate handover for the next shift.
- Verify the authenticity and validity of driver licenses to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Ensure routes are dispatched in full compliance with legal and safety regulations.
- Complete Sickness and Absence Reports and Return to Works with returning staff to ensure fitness to return.
- Support investigations as well as disciplinaries and grievances as required maintaining confidentiality.
- Complete Incident Reports and Investigations, e.g. RTC Reports, Staff Injury and Near Miss Reports.
