We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, handling materials efficiently, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Duties
- Assisting in the unloading of deliveries from HGV trucks safely and efficiently using appropriate manual handling techniques
- Reporting discrepancies, shortages, or damages to the supervisor promptly
- Handling materials, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and storage areas
- Organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation
- Conducting quality control checks on incoming and outgoing goods
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times during daily operations
Qualifications
- Experience in a warehouse environment or logistics role is preferred
- Knowledge of materials handling equipment, particularly forklift operation, is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling of goods
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
