We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers.
Duties
- Operate flatbed lorries and other HGV vehicles in compliance with road safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-journey checks to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness
- Deliver goods to designated locations in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance reports
- Follow all health and safety procedures during driving and delivery activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered during routes
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence plus digi card and cpc card
- No more than 6 points on license
- Knowledge of road regulations and safety standards relevant to heavy goods vehicle operation
- Ability to operate various types of commercial vehicles confidently and responsibly
