We are seeking a reliable and experienced class 1 drivers to join our team working around Immingham Hull and Scunthorpe on Nights
Duties
- Operate various types of commercial vehicles, including Fridges, containers, flatbeds, curtains
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while driving in various conditions.
- Assist in the training of new drivers as needed.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license plus digi and cpc card
- no more than 6 points on license
- ideally knowledge of the port
- Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery driver roles;
- Strong mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles and basic maintenance skills.
- Experience operating heavy equipment or vehicles such as tow trucks, tankers, or paratransit vehicles is advantageous.
- Familiarity with route driving and logistics management.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
