Weekend Class 1 Drivers – Days & Nights (Saturday & Sunday)
We are currently seeking reliable and experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our team for weekend work around Grimsby Immingham Scunthorpe , with day and night shifts available on Saturdays and Sundays.
Duties
- Operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, containers, flatbeds, and curtain-sided trailers.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Deliver and collect goods safely and efficiently while meeting scheduled delivery times.
- Plan routes effectively, taking into account traffic, road conditions, and delivery requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle checks.
- Communicate professionally with transport planners and customers regarding deliveries and any issues.
- Follow all road transport regulations, company procedures, and health & safety requirements.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements).
- Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the Hull docks/port is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience with refrigerated, container, flatbed, or curtain-sided work is beneficial.
- Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
