We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Engineer to join our dynamic team in a business established for over 50 years! The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance schedule is efficient and fit for purpose, maintaining engineering solutions that support our organisational objectives. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is wanting to self-manage workload and tasks, being responsible for oneself, work in a collaborative environment, contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and products. The Engineer will play a key part in ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all PPM across the site
- Oversee machinery including screen print, cutters, glue, extruders and compressors
- Carry out mechanical and some electrical fault finding and repairs
- Liaise and manage all external contractors, building strong relationships
- Manage spare parts and maintenance schedules
- Work in partnership with health & safety team across the site
- Hands-on repairs including welding
Experience:
- Strong mechanical background
- Can demonstrate manufacturing or mechanical engineering experience
- Can carry out electrical fault finding
- Can read technical drawings
- Can work independently along with working with the production team
Prior experience working within multidisciplinary teams is advantageous. This role offers a stimulating environment where innovation and technical excellence are valued.
