We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. This role involves managing the movement and storage of goods within the warehouse, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The successful candidate will play a vital part in supporting our supply chain processes, including picking, packing, stock management, and shipping & receiving activities. Prior warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right applicant. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a fast-paced environment. Must be available to start Monday 22nd June.
Responsibilities
- Palletising and wrapping of finished goods
- Loading and off-loading vehicles as required
- Issue all materials to and from production in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse
- To be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work
- To ensure wire is transferred from stores to wire cutting cell on time
- To safely use and maintain the wire cutting machine
- To read and understand technical drawings to accurately cut wire
- To assist the wire cell lead in keeping the wire cell clean and safe
- Serving internal customers at the service desk with parts enquiries and issuing stock out for adhoc jobs
Requirements
- Previous experience in warehousing is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for stock accuracy
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Experience using computers/handheld devices
- Flexibility to work in a physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks
