Host/Hostess – The Chalk, Chelsea

Part-Time | Evening & Weekend Shifts

We’re looking for a friendly, confident and welcoming Host/Hostess to join the team at The Chalk, our neighbourhood pub by Tom Kerridge, located just off the King’s Road in Chelsea.

As the first point of contact for our guests, you’ll play a key role in creating a fantastic first impression, ensuring everyone feels welcome from the moment they arrive. If you enjoy meeting people, have a natural flair for hospitality and thrive in a busy environment, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

• Welcoming guests with a warm, friendly and professional approach.

• Managing reservations, walk-ins and the seating plan.

• Escorting guests to their tables and ensuring a smooth arrival experience.

• Communicating with the front-of-house team to keep service running seamlessly.

• Answering guest enquiries and assisting with any special requests.

• Helping to create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere throughout the pub.

What we’re looking for

• A friendly, approachable personality with a genuine passion for hospitality.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• A professional, organised and proactive approach.

• The ability to remain calm and positive during busy service.

• Previous hosting or hospitality experience is desirable, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.

• Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts.
