We’re looking for a Food Runner to join the team at The Chalk Freehouse in Chelsea, part of the Tom Kerridge Group. The Chalk is a lively, welcoming freehouse just off King’s Road, offering great food, drinks and a relaxed atmosphere. We’re looking for someone who is friendly, energetic and enjoys being part of a busy team.

About the role

As a Food Runner, you’ll play an important part in making sure our guests receive their food quickly, accurately and with a smile. You’ll work closely with the kitchen and front of house teams to keep service running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering food from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately
  • Checking dishes are presented correctly before leaving the kitchen
  • Supporting the waiting team during busy services
  • Clearing and resetting tables when needed
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Communicating clearly with the kitchen and front of house teams
  • Helping wherever needed to ensure a smooth and enjoyable service for our guests

You don’t necessarily need previous experience — although hospitality experience would be an advantage. More importantly, we’re looking for someone who is:
