About the Role
As a Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for the co-ordination and administration of the Import / Export operations from origin to final delivery destination. Managing end to end freight in accordance with Customs Regulations and Brand specific operating requirements.
Import Management
- Analyse logistical data and provide reports to raise awareness, decrease costs and drive efficiencies.
- Review trend information and propose buying percentage uplifts for approval, covering freight, duty and all associated relevant costs.
- Ensure compliance with all Customs Regulations and specific authorised Customs Regimes for UK HMRC and support International compliance as required.
- Support the business with product classifications
- Manage freight forwarders, ensuring service levels are agreed and met – monthly business reviews
- Report on freight lead-times for all inbound activities, identifying any areas of concern
- Issue clearance instructions to agents where appropriate
Duty Management
- Ensure DRUK complies with rules and regulations of HMRC and documentation completed by suppliers is in accordance with Customs and Excise requirements
- Control of duty and VAT in respect of claims and returns
- Handle all required duty and Import VAT documentation ready to enable claim back of VAT process
Export Management
- Work with Logistics Providers to ensure that Trade & Customer Services have full visibility & tracking of orders leaving the warehouse
- Pro-actively monitor deliveries to final destination, solving problems ahead of time.
- Support the Trade & Customer Service teams with all queries relating to customer deliveries.
- Provide clear and accurate reporting on lead-times of customer deliveries
- For exhibitions / events manage requirements for stock & display items for delivery
- Provide clear advice to internal teams & customers regarding specific changes post Brexit (EUR1, T1 documentation, etc)
About You
- Minimum 1-2 years Logistics experience, ideally in a retail environment
- Great at building collaborative relationships with internal and external partners to ensure processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Take ownership and will work diligently to ensure the task is done
- Energetic, passionate, positive, friendly and organised
- Resilient and willing to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable taking initiative, suggesting improvements and making decisions independent of others
- Good understanding of Warehouse Management System
- Previous experience on Navision is preferable
