We are looking for an Assistant Credit Controller to join our Credit Control team. This is a full-time role based in London and reports to our Credit Manager.

About the Role

The Assistant Credit Controller will work alongside the Credit Manager to ensure all due monies are received in a timely manner, and that the administrative side of credit control is reflected accurately on the accounting system. More specifically you will be responsible for:

  • Collecting money – chasing debtors on emails and on the phone supported by constructive conversations and building relationships with customers
  • Credit control - bank postings, account reconciliations, statement runs, overdue reminders, pre-emptive reminders for large accounts, raising invoices
  • Query resolution

About You

The ideal candidate for this role will have finished their studies looking to start their finance career within the Credit Control function. A university degree in a relevant discipline, preferably Finance or a related field, would be an advantage. Experience – ideally 1 years’ experience with an accounts receivable (AR) /credit control role, not only chasing money, but also ensuring the collected money is accurately reflecting on the accounting system. Data extraction & reconciliation – you can extract data from an accounting system and present in excel; and you can extract data from our banking system, export into our accounting system and allocate amounts against balances on customer AR accounts (daily cash allocation task).
