Introduction:

To grow our team in the UK, we are looking for a Research Manager to join our team.

The Research Manager should be someone with experience in, and a passion for, qualitative research and will be responsible for coordinating and executing qualitative market research studies. This includes project scheduling and execution; screener and discussion guide design; moderating and managing fieldwork, reporting and analysis; client management; and serving as a liaison with internal and external operations teams.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end management of qualitative research projects – lead and manage qualitative projects utilising various research platforms, from research design stage through moderation/fieldwork, and into analysis, report writing, and presenting to clients.
  • Independently lead and manage small to medium size qualitative studies and manage more complex studies in collaboration with Qualitative Directors.
  • Responsible for supporting both local and international projects/teams.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with both internal and external teams to support smooth running of projects – field and operations teams, moderators, recruiters, etc.
  • Design & moderate innovative and tailored research approaches across a variety of methodologies (e.g., groups, depths, online communities, ethnography, etc.).
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and create compelling, story-led outputs that influence client decision-making.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality.
  • Manage client relationships and expectations through quality service delivery and act as a trusted consultant, offering strategic insight and guidance throughout the research process.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive culture.

Skills and Experience:

  • Ideally 4+ years’ experience of qualitative consumer research.
  • A demonstrated record in conducting end-to-end research independently.
  • Knowledge of both traditional and advanced forms of qualitative data collection methodologies and techniques, analysis, and interpretation with the ability to apply to agency work.
  • Experience in using various technology platforms for online synchronous and asynchronous qualitative research.
  • You are curious, open-minded, have a love for details while keeping in mind the bigger picture.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to translate data from a diverse array of inputs and crafting a cohesive, compelling narrative.
