Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations across multiple entities (UK & NL).
• Lead and manage the month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial reporting packages and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accurate and timely tax filings in coordination with external advisors and authorities.
• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of accountants; allocate tasks effectively and monitor performance.
• Coordinate and act as the primary contact for internal and external audits, ensuring smooth audit processes and timely resolution of findings.
• Support continuous improvement of accounting processes, internal controls, and systems to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and international teams to ensure alignment and consistency across regions.
• Prepare cash flow forecasting to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
• Ensure adherence to corporate governance, internal control frameworks, and multinational regulatory requirements.

Your Profile (Skills & Experience)

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (or equivalent).
• 10+ years of experience in general accounting within a multinational environment, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes.
• Proven experience managing month‑end/year‑end close and multi‑entity accounting environments.
• Hands‑on experience with accounting systems such as Exact and SAP ByDesign, as well as MS Office tools.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a proactive and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ownership of financial data.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across functions and geographies.
• Experience working with auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders.
