PKF Francis Clark is the largest firm of independent chartered accountants and business advisors in South West England, with nine offices across Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Poole, Salisbury, Southampton, Taunton, Torquay, and Truro. Celebrating its centenary in 2019, the firm has an annual revenue of over £65 million and a team of 900 professionals. Our dedicated tax department comprises nearly 150 specialists, from trainees to partners, making us one of the largest regional tax practices in the UK.

We are expanding our tax practice and are seeking a Transaction Tax Director based in Bristol, Exeter, or Poole.

Role

This key role involves working alongside our award-winning corporate finance team to advise large corporate clients and private equity firms on M&A tax work, including:

  • Due diligence projects, vendor advice, clearances, and pre-sale structuring
  • Structuring for PE-backed transactions
  • Corporate restructuring, demergers, reorganisations, and management buy-outs
  • Reviewing SPAs and providing deal support
  • Collaborating with non-UK firms within the PKF network on international tax projects

Beyond technical work, you will assist partners in developing the Transaction Tax team, managing staff, and building client relationships and internal networks. The role offers flexible, hybrid working with opportunities for career development.

Candidates should have UK-based corporate tax experience and ideally be CTA qualified or equivalent. We welcome applications from individuals interested in relocating to the South West for a better work-life balance.
