Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase requisitions and raise purchase orders in BaaN, and later SAP in line with policy and approval matrices.
- Chase suppliers for order acknowledgements, delivery confirmations and resolve supplier queries to maintain on-time delivery.
- Match supplier invoices to POs and supporting documents; flag discrepancies for resolution and pass valid invoices for payment.
- Maintain purchase order and contract files in SharePoint or designated repositories; follow up on aged POs and unresolved items.
- Support supplier onboarding administration and supplier master data updates.
- Assist with Capex register updates, budget tracking and basic spend reporting as required.
- Apply purchasing controls, adhere to procurement policy and support audit requests.
- Provide front-line supplier communication and maintain clear inbox ownership to avoid customer delays.
- Manage all indirect and non-stock purchasing (services, MRO, professional services, etc.).
- Support, coordinate and manage contingent workforce sourcing via the MSP programme in SAP Fieldglass and coordinate with staffing agencies.
- Develop and improve non-stock purchasing processes and policies for the Customer Fulfilment teams.
- Achieve savings via tendering and cost down initiatives with key partners.
- Select, onboard and manage suppliers and agencies; monitor supplier performance and resolve issues.
- Use SAP (procurement) (From October 2027).
- Learn SAP Fieldglass for supplier data, timesheets and invoicing.
- Work closely with planning, logistics, service engineering, finance and legal to align procurement with operational needs and contracts.
- Track spending, savings, supplier performance and other KPIs; report to management.
Skills and experience required
- Experience in procurement/purchasing, and supply chain especially indirect and non-stock categories.
- Experience with contingent workforce programmes and VMS/MSP platforms (SAP Fieldglass preferred).
- Comfortable with SAP procurement tools.
- Experience in commercial, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing suppliers and working within a team.
- Good reporting, organisation and communication skills.
Education
- A-Levels, BTEC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent vocational qualification in business, supply chain, procurement or related discipline; OR Apprenticeship in procurement/administration; OR Foundation Degree / HND.
- Desirable: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or procurement, or professional procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS) - or equivalent practical experience.
Working conditions
- Hybrid working, two-day office-based.
- Possible business travel across TEL sites and supplier visits.
- Works with global and regional teams.
- Fixed term contract (18 months).

Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training.
