The Arun Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams are looking for a Team Leader to help develop the Neighbourhood Mental Health Team in Bognor Regis. Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
Working closely with the Service Manager, other Team Leaders and Professional Leads, you will have a clear role in offering high‑quality and visible leadership, setting and maintaining operational standards, improving outcomes, and prioritising experience for service users, families and carers. You will also be responsible for the provision of line management to staff ensuring that our contractual requirements are achieved and delivered, and that a learning and supportive culture is always promoted. You will have a crucial role in building trusting relationships with local partners and be instrumental in the further development of our service as it continues to grow. High personal resilience and a can‑do attitude are essential and we would expect you to lead by example and be able to demonstrate the SPFT values and behaviours.
Person Specification
We accept applications from mental health nurses, occupational therapists or social workers. You should be enthusiastic, talented and have a good clinical experience in secondary mental health services. You will be expected to function well independently as well as within the multi‑disciplinary team, assisting in the management of clients with enduring mental health needs in a community setting. You must have a warm and friendly disposition with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be confident, motivated and flexible and be able to show initiative in an environment that is often busy, rewarding and dynamic. An interest in quality improvement along with a recovery‑focused model of care is important to this role. You will be fully supported and empowered to make a difference and to creatively develop new ways of working.
