We have the opportunity for a Delegated Authority Audit Manager to join our Delegated Authority department here at Tokio Marine Kiln. Reporting into the Head of Delegated Authority Services, you will be responsible for managing and successful delivery of the entire TMK Coverholder/DCA audit programme.
Managing the Delegated Audit Team, you will be responsible for the oversight and relationship management of externally appointed Audit and DA Consultancy Firms. This role includes responsibility for:
- Oversight and management of the Delegated Authority Audit Team, with responsibility for meeting service level standards for the business.
- Maintaining the DA Audit Team's assurance plan for specific programme of Coverholder and DCA Audits, as outlined within the delegated authority framework.
- Building and maintaining strong, effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, working closely as required with external auditors and other providers of independent assurance to deliver audits across the entire portfolio yet providing assurance on a cost-effective basis.
- Acting as TMK's primary interface with Lloyd's on all Audit matters concerning Business as Usual and future development.
- Maintaining an effective relationship with the Lloyd's Audit Coordination team.
- Ensuring Lloyd's DAM is effectively utilised for both TMK's solo as well as market coordinated TMK Coverholder/DCA audit programme.
- Adherence to the TMK Internal Control Framework (ICF).
- Working closely with TMK's internal teams (including but not limited to: Compliance; Customer Oversight, DA Advisory, DA Data Management, Underwriting and Claims) to ensure that audit can be targeted in the correct way and that all current market, regulatory and TMK specific issues are audited effectively.
- Overseeing monitoring the closure of audit assignments upon satisfactory conclusion (where applicable: participate in closing meetings, committee presentation, prepare high level documentation for discussion with and review by internal stakeholders, agree factual accuracy of audit findings with auditees, collate management responses to audit recommendations, manage the archive audit files etc).
- Management of the ongoing conduct and abilities of all Audit Firms and responsibility for the management of annual review of all audit firms performance and suitability.
- Ensuring all external Partners/DCAs & Coverholders understand & comply with our required conduct and compliance standards.
- Managing the escalation of Delegated Authority Audit issues through the appropriate internal and external committees; working groups and forums.
- Ensuring TMK's continued adherence to current Lloyd's Oversight Framework and the Principles within.
The successful candidate will have thorough command and knowledge of the Lloyd's Delegated Authority compliance process as well as extensive experience within London market insurance. You must also have a track record of working with high quality insurance organisations and in a high-volume business. We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, who has the resilience to change and challenge.
