Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) is recruiting for a permanent Risk Officer to join our ERM team. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management, you will support the effective operation of TMK's Enterprise Risk Management framework, helping to identify, assess, monitor and report risk across the business. The role plays an important part in promoting a strong risk culture, providing independent second-line challenge and ensuring risk management activities remain aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with first-line teams (e.g., Underwriting, Third Party Capital, Claims), serving as the primary point of contact to effectively communicate, collaborate, and influence these teams as needed.
  • Conducting and project managing the ORSA process including the production of quarterly and annual reports.
  • Development and delivery of Special Risk Assessments. Ensuring areas of actual or potential risk exposure are appropriately assessed, challenged and reported, with output presented to relevant committees.
  • Supporting implementation of TMK’s ERM Framework in Group companies. Promoting risk management best practice and a consistent, proportionate approach to risk management across the Group.
  • Development of, implementation of, administration of, and compliance with the company’s risk framework and risk management processes and procedures.
  • Providing second line challenge through involvement in stakeholder meetings, project boards and risk reviews.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong knowledge and experience of Enterprise Risk Management principles and practices.
  • Relevant professional experience within risk management, insurance, financial services or a related environment.
  • Good understanding of organisational risk exposures, risk assessment methodologies and risk reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex information, identify key risks and provide practical recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong report-writing and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Sound judgement with the ability to provide constructive challenge and form independent, risk-based opinions.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
